Announcement: REEL Competition (Showcasing Your Research Excellence through Visual Lens)
In today's world, social media has emerged as a strong platform to communicate. In no time, REELs have become a popular way especially among youth to showcase your creativity in capturing the attention of the audience. As someone says: "Behind every reel, there’s a story waiting to be told.”
So, what if we ask you to make a REEL to show your creativity and share your Research Story with all of us. At IIT Hyderabad, we believe in nurturing the talent and creativity of our research community. To celebrate and showcase this dedication to advancing knowledge, we are excited to announce the first of its kind, Research Exhibition Expressed by Lens (as we say, R.E.E.L. competition) for our IITH PhD students.
R.E.E.L competition is a unique opportunity for you to present your research in a creative and engaging way. In this competition, we invite you to create a 1-minute (60 seconds or less) video that encapsulates the essence of your research project. As a PhD student, R.E.E.L provides numerous advantages: honing your communication skills, fostering valuable networking opportunities, and earning recognition within the academic community. In today's competitive landscape, effective and creative communication sets you apart and this is a chance to present your work to a broader audience in a visually compelling manner.
The few winners (as judged by a neutral committee while ensuring no conflict of interest) will be eligible to attend an extra National conference/workshop in their PhD tenure (up to a maximum support of 20K INR as per the Institute norms). There might be few attractive prizes also based on the private sponsorship.

· Competition Start Date: 5th September 2023
· Submission Deadline: 30th September 2023 (No extension)
· Create a 1-minute (60 seconds or less) video presentation of your research project. Any video of more than a minute will automatically lead to the disqualification.
